Please help us welcome our new intern, John! He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Social Work at USC, and working with Thalia, our Resource Specialist. Every Monday, from 9:00-11:00am, he leads a resource support group, where our homeless guests have a space to share their stories and challenges.
John is originally from Washington D.C., and attended Pitzer College, where he studied Psychology. John recently started working at our satellite pantry at USC, and decided to be come more involved at the center.
John wanted to work at USC to help the homeless community in a mental health setting. He strongly believes in the importance of treating our guests with dignity, and creating strong relationships with them.
“St. Francis Center is a symbol of hope and support with the community, which inspires me.”
In his free time, John enjoys watching mystery and horror TV shows and movies, reading, and trying out new food spots!
Help us welcome John!
