Breakfast and Pantry Program
Our breakfast service is a volunteer favorite. While volunteering during our Breakfast Program, volunteers gain firsthand experience of what our unhoused guests face every day – hunger and other sensitive issues.
We offer a to-go breakfast option for our guests, as well as a sit-down, served breakfast.
Our Breakfast Program schedule is as follows:
Monday: 7:00 am to 8:30 am
On Mondays, our Breakfast Program is distributed in a to-go format.
Volunteers will help prepare hot coffee and the to-go breakfast plates. Volunteers who feel comfortable doing so, can also help distribute breakfast to our guests along with one of our staff members. On Mondays, fewer volunteers are needed.
Tuesday-Friday: 7:00 am to 9:00 am
From Tuesday to Friday, we host our indoor dining service and offer a to-go option for our guests. Volunteers will primarily assist with the indoor dining service and help with tasks like preparing coffee, serving food in the kitchen, seating and serving breakfast to guests, cleaning tables, and assisting with the to-go breakfast option.
Pantry Program:
SFC’s pantry program focuses on utilizing a combination of rescued and purchased food to feed extremely low-income individuals, families, seniors, and students in our community.
Tuesday-Friday: 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
During the pantry program, volunteers sort through donated food products and make to-go pantry boxes to be distributed to families, individuals, and students in need. Volunteers will also help distribute these boxes to our guests during our drive-through and walk-up distributions.
