Today, October 4, we celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Fr. Hugh Noonan, OFM, founded St. Francis Center over 45 years ago when as a resident of St. Joseph Church, he saw the growing number of poor families and homeless individuals who knocked on the doors for food and help.
Today, St. Francis Center continues to provide a strong presence within the community by welcoming all of our brothers and sisters in need. Fr. Hugh believed that the teaching and example of Saint Francis of Assisi, in particular, provides an especially powerful model for working with and among the poor and our staff carry on this tradition.
We are in need of volunteers TOMORROW!
– Friday, October 5: Breakfast (7:00-9:30am, 6 volunteers)
