To Our St. Francis Center Community,
As wildfires continue to devastate our region, our hearts are with those who are impacted. We understand the uncertainty, fear, and loss that many are facing, and we want you to know that St. Francis Center is here for you. Together, we will meet this challenge with strength, compassion, and action.
Our top priority is supporting our neighbors while ensuring everyone’s safety during this difficult time. Below, you’ll find resources to help you stay safe, access vital assistance, and learn how to join our efforts to provide relief.
Prioritizing Safety During the Fires
Your safety and that of your loved ones is our highest priority. Please stay informed and prepared by utilizing these trusted resources:
- County of Los Angeles Emergency Updates: Latest alerts and resources.
- Los Angeles Fire Department: Real-time fire alerts and safety information.
- Cal Fire: Updates on wildfire activity across California.
- Caltrans QuickMap: Road closures and travel advisories.
- National Weather Service: Current weather conditions impacting fire activity.
Be sure to have an evacuation plan, an emergency kit, and stay indoors to limit exposure to smoke and poor air quality when advised. If you need to leave and are exposed to the elements, please wear a KN95 mask and protective gloves.

Accessing Support During the Fires
If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, we encourage you to seek help through these available resources:
- Federal Assistance, Temporary Shelter, Emergency Animal Shelters: resources for Southern California Wildfire Victims
At St. Francis Center, we are also collecting supplies and providing food relief for those affected. Please reach out if you or your family are in need.
How You Can Help
In times of crisis, our community’s compassion and unity make all the difference. Here are ways you can contribute:

We are accepting nonperishable food items to distribute to families and
