Meet Connor!
Please meet one of our wonderful volunteers, Connor! Connor started volunteering at SFC in at the beginning of this year, and has volunteered with us for over 170 hours!
Please read on for our interview with Connor!
How long have you volunteered at St. Francis Center?
It’s been about 6 months (since January 2019).
How did you find out about the Center?
I first volunteered though the USC Volunteer Center for their Friends & Neighbors Day.
Why did you want to volunteer here?
I volunteered through the USC Friends & Neighbors Day to give back to the local LA community. I was paired up with SFC and loved it so much that I am now a regular volunteer.
“It is an incredible opportunity to be in such a positive environment and make a tangible difference in the lives of others.”
What is your favorite part about volunteering?
My favorite part about volunteering is conversing with guests, staff, and volunteers. I love to meet new people and talk with familiar faces.
Have you had any impactful experiences or memories while volunteering at SFC that you would like to share?
Every day is a new and exciting experience at SFC. It is an incredible opportunity to be in such a positive environment and make a tangible difference in the lives of others.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy playing and watching sports in my free time.
What is your hope for the future of SFCLA & our community?
I hope that SFC can continue its amazing support of the LA community and add additional satellite pantries at nearby colleges.
Thanks for all of your support, Connor!
