SFC extends an official warm welcome to three seniors from Loyola High School who will be volunteering for the month of January!
Every year, Loyola H.S. seniors spend the first month of the year volunteering at nonprofits as part of their senior service project. SFC has been a proud host of students for many years in a row now.
Join us in welcoming our three volunteers from Loyola: Julian, Nick and Jett.
“I want to experience serving and being around people from lower incomes as well as the homeless community. I look forward to the valuable interactions I will have with St. Francis Center’s guests,” said Julian, who hopes to go to college next year in California and study business administration. He enjoys practicing and playing the piano.

Nick also chose SFC as the site for his senior service project because he wanted to serve somewhere he could reach the poor and marginalized.
“I am looking forward to serving. It’s great to know I’m helping people,”he said. Nick is planning on attending college next year and loves spending time on the water from surfing to going outrigger canoeing.Having the opportunity to work closely with the people we serve at SFC, having conversations with our guests and learning about their experiences helped Jett decide on SFC for his senior service project site.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing six musical instruments, baseball for Loyola’s varsity team and video games. Next year, Jett plans on studying computer science in college, joining the marching band, and playing ultimate frisbee.
